Looking for an Embedded Hardware Engineer

We have a freelance opening for an Embedded Connected Hardware Engineer. Your focus would be on Electronic design and engineering but we expect you to have experience with developing Embedded Software as well.

What you will be working on:

You will be working on Connected Products for Clients like Ravensburger, Mattel but also various start-ups. Our products are always connected, to other products and/or to the internet. Which is why you will work with technology like Bluetooth, WiFi,  NFC, LoRa and everything else that gets the job done.

What we expect from you

We expect you to be experienced in Technical Design (component and tech selection), Electronic Design, PCB lay-outing and Prototyping. Experience with firmware development, mechanical design and working with manufacturers is great.

Due to the short iterations in our projects we are looking for a 0.8 to 1 ft. availability. We like you to hold a Bachelors or Master degree in a course like Electronic Engineering or Embedded Systems but your work experience and quality is what counts.

Fluency in English is also a hard requirement.

What we offer

We offer a workplace in a creative hotspot in downtown Amsterdam. Working in a small design team as Sophisti has the advantage of being closely involved in several aspects of Connected Product development.

Please send your application including resume (links to gerber files and firmware examples greatly appreciated) to You will hear within two weeks if we would like to invite you for a (Skype) interview.
